Weren't Spurs one of the few clubs to do the English double at the time? Reason I ask, it might have been the season prior to 1963.
If you don't know what you've posted, then perhaps estimating yourself as even the simplest of biological organisms was an over-estimation? You deserve Mike Ashley.
I know exactly what I posted and I was correct in what I said... I've concluded that you're so unintelligent it would be a complete waste of time trying to educate you.
60/61. First team to do it last century, IIRC. Preston and Villa did it in the 19th century. We were also the first British team to win a European trophy, despite apparently not qualifying for Europe until 2020!
That was it. I used to be pretty good with my football history, but the old grey matter fails me these days. Preston, Villa and Spurs.
Oh look, you've edited it and you're still wrong! The last season that we qualified for Europe before 2010 was 2009. Then 2008.
I've checked it was actually 11 times in 13 years 2 since In the 13 seasons (1994/95 to 2006/07) before Ashley’s arrival, Newcastle played in Europe in 11 of those 13 seasons. The only exceptions being 1995/96 and 2000/01.
There are a million reason for fans of any club to dislike Chelsea but you can’t really say they haven’t brought players through. They’re practically a human farm. Some of them are going to accidentally prove too good for Vitesse Arnhem and make it all the way.
Newcastle have never been on a par with West Ham I'm trying to rake back on my football knowledge to see what I can remember about Newcastle....err....runners up....has beens. Your lot didn't even nurture Bobby Robson. This is what happens when the Toon make a Cup Final....
Last time Toon played in Europe was 8 years ago last time Spurs played in Europe was just over an hour ago Stfu Munse
