A mate of mine who once lived in Sheffield told me about a very basic Curry House, more of a canteen really, where the menu had three choices; hot, very hot, or suicide. This was late 70s, very much doubt the place is still there.
Nah mate ... you are getting confused with a Ghost Chilli Oil Cold Compress applied to the ball sack and arse crack ... try it and let us know how you get on
Don’t like Vindaloos...they just heap more red chilli powder in...that’s it...just ask for Asian style if you like the kick but don’t just want to taste chilli. but then you might live near a **** takeaway and they don’t quite understand an Asian style dish. Tel should be ok finding a good takeaway...he’s in Manchester
Yeah there’s loads of good ones here. I always use the same two. I once tried another local one and the meat was disgusting, so told them to come and pick it up and apologise to my face. They just ignored me
That sounds like my kind of place. Would have guessed around Wicker Arches or the old Moor shopping area. Gonna ask some of the old boys I work with about it
Best place in London for Indian, Pakistani and Bengali food is Brick Lane, between Shoreditch and Spitalfields. There's a 200 yard stretch which is wall to wall curry houses. Don't know how Covid's been treating them, haven't been down there for years. The cheapest most basic ones seem to be the best, for some reason. My mate's family owns an Indian restaurant in Covent Garden, they spent most of lockdown providing free meals to homeless people.
Best indian/asian food is the simple stuff, street food. Love fresh corn fritters. Great to see that they are feeding people in need, prefer the more traditional vegetarian dishes over meat when eating out
Dunno what you mean mate, I was on about here but got the name wrong. Famous bagel shop down brick Lane. https://bricklanebeigel.co.uk/ ****in lovely at 4am after you've turnt up
