The best thing about old Ralph. He forgets that in the modern day, we can see the same tackles his players made.

ones he thought okay. Another oppo manager giving today’s team talk.

I screwed them down to £25 a month for the full package after jibbing towards the end of lockdown. So I’m alright with it tbh. I’m ashamed to say I’ve actually paid for some of the PPV games, as it was either that or have some Saturday night ****e TV inflicted on me & I justified it to myself as we’re going out nowhere at the minute, so spending nowt.

That bobble head Danny Murphy has written a piece today in which he says Carlo should drop Pickford as he shouldn’t be playing as he should be banned & also that it’d be the best thing for Pickford.

The selective moral outrage over that incident is beyond a joke now. A week on and it’s still filling column inches.

I think he's basing that mostly on us selling more shirts than Spurs rather than any footballing merit. Shirt sales is a valid indicator for avoiding relegation.

I think my team are turgid relegation fodder with a halfwit manager and Basta.rd owner.

I hope I'm blinkered to be honest.

Enjoy that stat while you can Libs ... once we get Cags, Ndidi and Ricardo Pereira back from injury, we will be even better than we were at the time of that record humping... let's see if you can keep pace <cheers>

If I remember correctly you were on course to break records and achieve something around two thirds of the way through but tapered off a touch. Bit like the rest of the season I guess buddy.

Was disappointing to fade like we did for sure ... given where we were. Two positives from it. The Europey is a better stepping stone than the CL for such a young squad IMO - and still a great achievement to get there in front of clubs with the size and spending power of Spurs and the Goons.

Secondly it did expose the depth (or lack of it) in the squad ... admittedly we were unlucky to lose quite so many as we did at one time... but that's resulted in the recruitment of Castagne, Under and Fofana and all 3 have (will) improve us.

The latter has got the fan base in raptures on his first couple of performances ... I think the Prem is going to love him, he is some talent and only 19 ... the big boys are gonna regret letting this one slip through their fingers.

All we really lack now is another striker of Vardy's class ... although Harvey Barnes is rapidly improving and Iheanacho can surprise at times.

Looking forward to the game today ... Will be really disappointed if it is not much better entertainment for the neutrals than the crud served up by United and Chelsea yesterday. <cheers>

getting that 15/16 vibe this season, don't think it'll be one of the usual suspects lifting the title.

Maybe you slightly misenterpreted what I was saying.

Top 4 is definitely wide open this season and teams like Arsenal, Spurs, Leicester & Everton should all be in the running. If that turns out to be the case and it does prove to be highly competitive with teams taking points of each other, then the possibilty for a dark horse to slip in there opens up. We (Leeds) are potentially that dark horse and if you aim for the top then you never know. Realistically though we're looking at 8th or 9th but having signed good players who are starting to integrate and improve us we might just keep the winning habit developed over the last 2 seasons <ok>

You are doing very well. Everton have been brilliant so far.

The difficulty, as we found out last season, is squad depth when / if injuries mount up. We ended the season playing with one first choice defender, no Maddison in midfield and other key players having to play whilst carrying injuries ... the big boys can bring £30 million squad players off the bench ... that's the big difference ...
