Surely a match that doesn't already have an edge with the potential for trouble would be better to trial something that could be controversial?
In fact they even said they didn't use it for the Merseyside Derby for this reason.
Palace Brighton is a **** rivalry anyway. It has to be tried at some point so tonight is as good as any.
At least it's a PL game so a mistake won't knock a team out the cup etc.
