Well then that's a different argument. You said your players needed rest, why don't other premier league clubs i mentioned do the same as you're unrealistic to get europe or get relegated. This is the last competition you have of some glory.

Only conclusion i can think of is Puel doesn't think the FA cup is worthy of trying to win over fighting for a mid table position

...we fielded 7 full internationals and 3 England Youth Internationals ... should have been enough ... so no lack of respect as far as I can see ... but we did need to give some of the regulars a rest.

jesus foss. Even John can see how bad that team you put out was.

You can bang on about internationals playing and what not but thats a kopout. Half of the championship sides have numerous internationals.

Not only were you playing a reserve team (out of all those players, at most chilwell and gray were first team players and even then they are rotational players). Amarty you can let off as you don't have RB at the moment but everyone else was a reserve.

Not only was it a reserve side, you played a team of negative players and tried to play hoofball to slimani who was marked by 2 giants (and he doesn't have the legs to get away).

At least if you're going to disrespect the opposition you could play some players who actually want to attack or can keep the ball.

Oi, even John? You make it sound like I’m blinkered about everything Leicester. I’m the first to call out ****e performances ans results or team selections

haha to be fair, you are the most objective out of the lot on here.

<ok>
Not just of Leicester fans either <whistle>
Tbf the result doesn’t bother me as much. The FA cup is all about this and plenty of sides better than us have been held or beaten by worse sides than Fleetwood. I’ll stick my neck out and say I expect us to finish the job at home. It’s the performance that’s grim. I’d expect us to be held to a draw despite dominating the game and Fleetwood defending for their lives not by not having a shot on target and being under the cosh. Even the team selection wasn’t all bad, Dragovic will play in the league now Morgan is out as will Amartey and chilwell. Silva will but is new as does Gray, Albrighton, Okazaki and Slimani. Barnes I’m fine playing a youngster. It was the choice of Benny and having King and James as both only play backwards

If you were going to play **** in the middle of the season, then this was the time to do it.
You're still in the cup, you've highlighted some problems with the squad and the transfer window's still open.
There's an opportunity to progress, earn a few quid on the replay and make a few moves while you still can.

True, to play so badly against a decent lower league outfit in Fleetwood and be in the draw could have been worse. Now we are down to a game a week again the replay shouldn’t clog the fixture list too much like it does when in Europe

"Norwich are probably playing the better football at the moment. They look more composed in midfield and are knocking it around nicely."

I'd argue that we're fighting for 7th position - and with that European football.

I wouldn't say it's unrealistic to assume that two teams from the top 6 will win the Cups, leaving Europe available for 7th.

I never suggested that those other clubs didn't need a rest. But we'd have played a far stronger side today if we had Everton or Burnley at home as you and Man City (with your massive squads) did.

... where did I say they played well? ... I said that the players fielded SHOULD have been enough to beat Fleetwood ... they should <ok>

Couldn't agree more ...

just seen 25 mins of this ****ty chelsea match.

Half the players look like they can't be bothered and considering we aren't winning the league, i don't know why they aren't busting a gut.

Bakayoko is terrible on the ball , kenedy is a greedy little **** and the sooner we ship off that dumb ass player the better.

We have no energy or width and half of these players didnt play on wednesday so we have no excuses.

Michy Batshuayi demonstrating exactly why he's our striker to bring on as a sub as he's shocking on the ball.

i never said your team played well. You justified that the team you put was a good team because they were internationals <doh>

Nope ... I said that team SHOULD have been good enough to beat Fleetwood ... if you'd like me to say what you want me to say to justify the points you are keen to make, just write it and I'll copy and paste it whilst you're climbing back up on your soap box ... alternatively just read my posts properly in the first place <doh>
