The social media twats have instantly turned this into a racial thing, despite no replacements being announced.
It's hardly surprising to see ageing presenters replaced, is it? That's nothing new.

Wouldn't surprise me if that did play a part tbh. Probably realised that they were lacking slightly in bame pundits when they asked everyone to wear the BLM badges.

I think relevance and competition were the major factors.
They need to appeal to younger viewers now, as they've got a lot of competition online.

Ive never been when it was the Etihad but I have been the City of Manchester Stadium. But I have lived on Merseyside and Chester so, I'm kinda cheating to be fair.

Less of a plassy than you and ive followed them for a month <laugh>

hold on, you are calling out someone....and don’t go, FFS.

Hope they go with younger guys who sail a bit close to the line. The thing that made soccer Saturday is the banter between the ex players. Get some lads in who will speak their mind. Even someone like Joey Barton would be funny (I know he is currently managing).

There will be certain criteria to fill. We'll end up with Aluko. She ticks alot of boxes.

I just want to watch lads have that changing room banter whilst watching the telly. Hopefully they will get it right.

I don’t mind the one who commentates first the BBC, Alex Scott. She knows her stuff.

I putting O’hara as a possibility.

I dont think I watched one motd last year. Does anyone still watch it here as thier primary football highlights show?

I can do without Gary Lineker and Alan shearer talking ****e tbh and usually check whatever games highlights via YouTube.

Just been discussing the TV licence with my old man who's just paid his much to my displeasure.

MOTD is a dead product. Just a token offering by the PL for some free to air coverage(it’s not fooking free)

Oh yeah, I'm not saying that girls don't know their stuff but I'd rather hear a Roy Keane give an opinion on what he sees and his opinion on what must it be like in that dressing room etc than someone who played for Arsenal Ladies. It probably comes across as being sexist as f**k but that's not my intention.

For example I remember a few months back a question put to the panel about dressing room dynamics after a Premier League game. The panel was Jamie Redknapp, Alex Scott and Ruud Gullit. Alex Scott interrupted Redknapp whilst discussing a mens dressing room after a game. If it was a woman's game and I was on the panel I'd just shut up as I have no experience in a womens changing room after a woman's game.

If your on a lads night out and some soppy bastard brings their girlfriend it affects the dynamic of the group. Soccer Saturday is a bit like that (had gone a bit stale though) and I think a female analyst might screw up the banter.

I couldn’t imagine JR being part of a dynamic dressing room. He is the pundit version of a wet fart.

It used to be the thing you didn't miss on a weekend usually, but that was down to lack of other options imo, which people have now so yeah it's dying a slow death.

Dont think I've ever paid a TV license, never will either

BT sport youtube and sky for me, all the football without the inane ramblings of old "engerland" players
