Their behaviour in the transfer window and furloughing staff makes me wonder if they were already in some financial difficulty.
Villa spent a little to extravagantly and probably wasted quite a bit of money, but Norwich didn't appear to spend anything.
One half decent striker could've kept them up. They could've done that with a loan. Expecting Pukki to save them on his own was mental.

Not that Spurs are in any position to comment on that situation, as we basically did the same thing.
Who has one striker in their squad? Ridiculous.
Sad act that I am, I did actually have a look back at their financial performance. The huge revenue lift for this season will see them going back down sat on a very tidy profit, as they spent **** all, and I doubt their cost base has risen dramatically. They’ll have the parachute payments again and they seem content with being a yo-yo club that operates in an extremely risk averse manner. All very cosy but completely lacking in ambition and vision.

And the likes of Aarons, Godfrey, Lewis, Cantwell and possibly Pukki and Krul will get picked off.
They'll be left with a depleted, demoralised club, then sack the manager when he can't get them going.

I get that they're trying to compete by producing young talent and giving them opportunities, but you can't do that alone.
We tried that a while ago and for every Kane, Townsend, Mason and the like, you need a Davids, Naybet, Gallas or Llorente.
The best youngsters learn more alongside experienced, been-there-done-that veterans.

Not when it comes to alcohol, judging by her half-time rant a few years back.

Good fcking riddance to them tbh. But this recent discussion (as well as the Leeds promotion) has got me thinking who I would quite like back in the prem. I'd like to think unlike Norwich, that Leeds might improve the league. Who else would we like back who would improve the PL?

Blackburn? Bolton? Sunderland? Ipswch? Bradford City? Middlesboro?

And it has to be a club that have been in the PL before.

Forest and Sheff Weds for me.

Both proper old clubs with sound fans imo. I used to love going to Forest.

Bielsa's a top manager. No idea how Leeds managed to get him.
I can't see them risking doing an, erm... Leeds, but I think they'll show more ambition than Norwich did.

Sunderland have finally got shot of their ****ty chairman, so maybe they'll work their way back up?
That would add a decent derby, at least.

Millwall would be funny. Wimbledon would be a nice **** you to MK Dons.

Thought he had just resigned a Chief Executive but still owned the club ?
