So, the beast premier league team "ever" is not even going to win a double this season and may yet even be beaten to a single by a bit of flu <laugh>

@astro City won a domestic treble last season but it was nice to see you concede that last seasons cup wins were just luck :grin:

@astro admission

Made enough chances, didn't put them away

"Luck of cup competitions"

Just watched the highlights. That’s definitely not the best team in the world evva.

They’ve looked pretty inconsistent for a few weeks. Great teams win doubles. The truly great teams win trebles. @Treble to confirm.

In the end it's inexperience and hubris that done for them. Win nowt for 7 years, win one and then think you can just rock up and win The Treble because you happen to be doing well in a league where all your rivals are massively underperforming. It don't work like that.

[HASHTAG]#fanboys[/HASHTAG] like this don't help with realism either...

As much as I'm not shouting greatest team ever what have you seen in the highlights that makes you think inconsistent? We were really good, lost it on one mistake from the keeper. Every team has a point in the season where they don't play to their best but last night wasn't one of them.

That's nonsense as well, we haven't rocked up expecting to win, that's why we've only lost 1 game you plum.

The defence turns to **** when the opposition runs at them. Watford, Chelsea and Atletico have all overpowered them inside 2 weeks. When those games turned against Liverpool they had no idea how to deal with it.

Calm down @luvgonzo .... nowt wrong with going out to Athleti at the quarter final stage mate ... it's what we did back in 2017, although, statistically we were a better side than this current Liverpool side because we only lost the away leg not both , went out on a one goal margin rather than 2 and, most compelling of all, they then had Greizeman, they now have Morata.

@astro to confirm the statistical analysis above :bandit:

They went out in the last 16 mate.
