I wonder what the financial impact would be on West Ham if they went down.

Great planning from the FA that our replay with Spuds lands during both teams 'winter break' <laugh>

Klopp was on about no replays but the lower league side is always at home against the prem sides. But if say Gillingham draw Man Utd would they want to have them at home? Don't they split the gate receipts 50/50 in the FA cup? So going to Old Trafford or the Emirates if they got Arsenal serve them better? And it would probably be on the box so more money?

There was the stats of fate that came out, after they drew they The Gills in the FA Cup 3rd Rd, it was something like, since the turn of the millenium, they have faced seven Premier League sides in the FA Cup 3rd round. Every club with the exception of Watford, were relegated that same season <laugh>

Or... and this is a radical idea I know...

We just leave the replays as they are and stop ****ing with the game for the sake of a handful of clubs.

    A thousand times this.

It was disgusting when they scrapped semi-final replays, then quarters and now shunting the fifth round to a one-off midweek game so 20 clubs in the football pyramid can have a week off in February.

agreed but since the number of CL games is due to increase in next couple of years can't see any club in CL giving a monkeys about FA cup .

Who’s arsed about what the CL clubs choose to do?

Them fielding their stiffs won’t diminish the competition for the other 88 league teams who are chasing the pot.

Lower league clubs rely on the money from the FA Cup, to either balance the books or to buy players. Replays are also an additional bonus for the same reasons. Stop trying to change the game to suit Premier League clubs.
