For clubs in the EFL there are a lot fewer ways of fiddling the numbers than the PL clubs with their silly sponsorship deals. Selling the ground to the owner and leasing it back may work while the owner is a good one but they need to make sure that the lease is watertight in the clubs favour and long-term. They would be better off just allowing benevolent owners to plough the cash in (but not as loans) and forget FFP. Its causing clubs like this to come up with schemes like this that could harm the club in the long term.
Man City have clearly fudged the numbers with shirt sponsorship, training facilities and stadium naming rights all directly linked to their owners. No one has done anything about it, no one will do anything about it. So other clubs may aswell do the same.
you've gone the whole hog by having a "mate" supplying the extra dosh . Mind you USM gonna need to pump a hell of a lot more in considering your last accounts .
£30m doesn't even cover the £40m Moshiri wasted on flop managers, and the stadium opens in 3.5 years at best. Conservatively, that's about £400m in more losses Usmanov needs to cover somehow before the naming rights can kick in.
You’ve had your kecks pulled down on this subject on the Everton board lad. Don’t make me belittle you here as well.
****ing astro blathering on about financials again! Thats some lame arse banter man. You about to win the league and instead of rubbing that in Everton fans faces you chose to mock them about the amount they spent on releasing managers from their contracts....... Learn to bantz Astro
Apologies if this has been posted before. My son just showed it to me. Some of the impressions are brilliant.
I could have had a ticket for our game at the Stadium thieves today, gutted I never took it now, as it’s a lovely day and I’m feeling really chipper. Would have been a good away day I reckon. Meh.
