Ronaldo was a United youth product according to Gooner as was Rooney

I haven’t said anything about being a “youth product”.

Rooney is a good example of what I was saying though. Moved to Utd as a teenager and progressed there into a quality player.

Apparently if a player is already a teenager they have peaked and whatever club they move to should take no credit for their progression beyond that point.

Catch up with the rest of the posts - we’ve covered Rooney already <ok>
So is he now officially recognised as a former United youth player? Someone better tell Everton!

You've had a mare here simply because you don't know which players came through your academy.

I mentioned the other day that some Arsenal fans seem to be under the delusion that the club has been a hotbed of young player development. To be fair it was a myth perpetuated by the press when a young Arsenal team used to occasionally beat a team like Port Vale in the Carling Cup. A few years later, when most of that team were playing lower league football, they'd point to Barcelona's Fabregas as the example of what a successful youth system Arsenal had.

That was the point I was trying to make, briefly, last night whilst slightly drunk.

He got very wound up about it and started talking about all sorts.

Have you seen PSG's youth player Mbappé? He looks pretty decent.

No he didn't. He just said he was a youth player.

You boys need to calm down and go eat a snickers or sumink.
