At the top end it really doesn’t take long for that to close though. Tbf can’t see you dropping barely any points now so all it takes is a couple of defeats for us and it’ll all change. I’ll be feeling confident with this gap with 4 games to go!
 
Given that Silva survived this far, I think it’d be harsh to base the final decision over his future on that game yesterday where they played really well.
Ultimately they got stitched up by their own time wasting (which they were doing from when they scored if not before). If Sidibe hadn’t been rolling round on the floor for 2 minutes we wouldn’t have had time to score the winner. Mina was embarrassing too falling over like he’d been shot in the stomach...

It’s a shame as he had a good game until then and looks a good player, great first time cross for their goal. Let Everton down badly at the end their though feigning injury and causing extra time on to added time.

tbh pre season I was gutted when he went to Everton he is a good player imo… I believe this league is so tight that confidence ends up being a huge factor and right now Everton have zero, but come May I still think they will be alright .

It’s a toughie...I want to be a Lesta fan but but but...I don’t really want to be having to deal with Fosse and all the other Rabid Foxes that will find their way out of the woodwork like Mick if they fluke another one

However...it’s in the bag this year for your lot...it’s sad to see actually...I guess this is what the Russians felt like when America won the Space race...well done

you see I reall don't think it is yet and I'm amazed so many former players , media experts and fans are saying this ! 8 points or tbh 11 points with 6 months and xmas period still to play … plus Liverpool have fixture congestion to cope with .. all it takes is couple of losses and an injury or two and things change very quickly in this game.

It's only 10 months since Liverpool had an 8 point lead with 10 games to go and look what happened and it's happened several times before to them and other clubs in leagues across the world ..

they are favourites and look like doing it , but it's not done yet not by any stretch of imagination

I agree, yes we're in a good position but it wont take much for us to be caught by Leicester as we play them on Boxing Day. I think with City you have to take into account that so early in the season they've dropped off and they will lose one or two more and that we shouldn't lose as many as them. If we can keep winning and beat Leicester we will take some stopping.

Can’t agree. Put it this way, we’ve had a 6 game winning streak and closed the gap from 10 points to 8! How many other sides will put that kind of run together. They won’t drop enough points for anyone to get near them. They are just finding a way so it’s definitely their trophy. I’ll be hoping Liverpool win games against the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea and Spurs to give us a fighting chance of a top 4 finish. **** the title, it’s decided already. Speaking as a supporter of the team in second!
