Know the feeling, we have Chilwell, Barnes and Choudhury all from the academy but the minute they do well the vultures circle.... at least Choudhury is doing his best to put them off

it's a sickener its been like that since the 80s for us and its got worse as times gone on I mean if you could manage to keep them for a couple of seasons it would be nice.

cheers fella :emoticon-0148-yes:

there's been takeover talk for years , but nothing ever come of it, so for me that can only mean Ashley is asking too much for the club. I live in hope and nothing lasts forever , so maybe it will happen one day. The latest group in for the club don't have a lot of money , but they want to invest in youth and after seeing two geordies coming through I would love to see more. it means so much more if they are local and what makes me sick is that we can't keep hold of them for 5 minutes when we do produce them.

Leicester just gained another 2nd team supporter
You hit the nail on the head bud, you only have to look at how Chelsea have done with their younger players, when due to the transfer embargo, they were expected to capitulate, when albeit early doors, they are ding well given the circumstances and will only get stronger as the season progresses imo ?
This will also filter through in time to the benefit of the national squad !

That ban is a blessing in disguise for Chelsea. It must actually be a really good time to be a Chelsea fan with Lampard in charge and Abraham, Mount, Tomori and CHO. Bit like their version of Man Utd’s class of 92. More more satisfying to support a team with young players coming through. Tbf there’s quite a bit more of it happening with Chelsea, us, Newcastle, Man Utd are trying to, Spurs have a few. Maybe the knock on effect or extortionate transfer fees?

Oh dear. Not sure what's worse, the mass exodus or Mourinho being linked? Actually, it's definitely Jose <laugh>

I'm really enjoying it mate. Especially when the forum experts were telling me that we'd be ****ed without Hazard. Early days but very promising.

Injured. Supposedly close to a return apparently.

You guise do have a lot of good youngsters coming through. It'll be interesting so see how they are doing into the new year...it's a good start for them but its a long season.

Newcastle will sort your optimism out good and proper next weekend

Mate we've had the best academy in the country for the last 7 or 8 years? so the talent has always been there. As you say, it's a long season.
