As good as their good players are, they lack pace without the wing-backs from last season and are much easier to play against. The back-up players aren’t good enough for the level they aspire to.
It’s called a bad patch. All teams have one. We knew top four would be very difficult this year with playing at Wembley and the cost of the new stadium Injuries to key players haven’t helped either. If we get top six this year, I’d take it.
Lack of squad depth. Spurs were never able to handle the Europey and the PL. Even less so trying to go gung-ho in the CL and then keep the pace in the PL. Also there are internal rumblings over contracts and wages. Walker has gone, Rose is almost gone. Alderwiereld is stalling and there is unrest over Shyster Levy's penny pinching wage structure.
