Every team has a core of players that are the backbone and with us being the 6th highest spenders we are not going to quite have the same depth as the team's that spent 200 mill in the summer...it's no surprise that 200 million makes a difference. We do have a new stadium to fund and that is not a fact that has been overlooked by many Spurs fans. ultimately we are only 3 points worse off than this time last season....very long way to go yet...we are still in the hunt for 2-4. You're team was dire without Pogba...you conceded 2 last night once Matic went off...talents like TA /Wanyama would be missed by anyone.
To be fair, Morgan & Huth/ Maguire or not, we could've (should've in fact) hit four more last night but our players seemingly forgot how to finish chances. That's taking nothing away from you though, your two goals were excellent and in the first half you played really well but just pointing out that had we actually kept our bottle in front of goal, then we could well have ended the night with five goals against what you claim is a much improved defence from the 6-1 encounter.
Yeah definitely, hiring him basically guarantees safety and right now that's what they need. They can then reassess in the summer.
What makes you say that? We did play poor football without Pogba, funny that innit given that he's apparently a load of ****.
I don't think Simeone is used to managing a shower of ****...Sam is... and I've never said Pogba is ****....I don't know what you're on about Tel
Simeone is a coach that would put the fire into any team. Sam puts fires out. Everton don't need a firefighter, they need a rocket up their arses. It's all academic innit cos he'd never go there.
Gone for a cheeky away double tonight in the PL in Burnley and West Ham. Just under 13/1. On another note what game is on TV tonight and isit sky or bt?
Cheers pnp Will be a poisonous atmosphere there if Moyes rocks up and does a job on them like I expect. Going to my mates house so will be watching that with our match on a stream, and at least if we get tonked he'll keep relatively quiet as he supports your lot
You never know. They're not unbeatable and they're bound to have an off day sooner or later. Everyone raved about Guardiola when he won the first six games on the bounce last season. Then we beat them 2-0. Their form got a lot more patchy after that. It might just take one defeat to knock them off balance. Still early days. Man Utd are only five points behind them right now.
