I always look to see if the lino has his flag up, before celebrating a goal properly. Takes about three seconds to confirm usually, so not the same thing as Var at all.

 

That's not the same thing at all, and yes I noticed the flag quite quickly as I always tend to look across. You know within half a second.

Hated it when it was first mentioned and still hate it today. Even with it, it’s still subjective. The 4th official (if that’s what he will be called) can and will still make mistakes.
The other bit about cutting diving and other play acting could be stamped out in 1 season if the FA had the balls to implement retrospective banning. A few 4 game bans would soon see it eradicated.
