8pm: We're under way
1min: Penalty to Liverpool!
2mins: Mo Salah scores from the spot, 1-0 to Liverpool
....
....
89th min: Fourth official says 3 minutes of added time.
92nd min: Unbelievable strike from Rice to get the Hammers an equaliser! 1-1.
97th min: Penalty to Liverpool!
98th min: Salah scores from the spot. Surely that's the winner.
98th min: The referee blows the whistle while Fabianski is picking the ball up from the back of the net. Liverpool win 2-1.

You can all watch repeats of Only Fools And Horses instead.

The Hammers are a bit like us in that they are capable of putting in a performance against the 'big teams' ... unfortunately, and also like us, they are vulnerable to going a goal down rather quickly in games ... if they should score first tonight then I think 'Pool will be in for a tough evening ... if they go behind early, might end up a cricket score <laugh>

... not sure Mo Salah will play ... might still be in Ben Chilwell's pocket from midweek ... something seemed to be slowing Ben down yesterday ... might explain it <whistle>

When you offer Doris and Ethel Sunday roast for £5 mate, it’s no wonder all the tables were taken.

There were quite a few family groups with all ages represented, from toddlers to grandparents.

I’m going to post some of the comments as soon as they are made available.

I can assure you that they will destroy you, Pix.

"I thought they were grand, just grand .... until they started to play" Edith 79

"Weren't too bad ... once I'd switched my hearing aid off" Bert 83

"Well they were no BTS, that's for sure" Florian aged 7

"I think the lead singer must have trapped his willy in his flies" Doris 90

"Thought that Glitter fella was inside?" Trevor 79

They don’t cook food on gig nights.

There’s a very decent fish and chip shop just up the road that I can highly recommend, if you’re hungry, Pix.

The gig kicked off at 3:30pm.

Not sure you’d call that lunchtime.

The Legion Swanage is a major gig venue. They don’t serve cooked meals on gig days.

Come on mate, just fess up. Doris flicked her mashed swede at you when she heard that Slade number didn’t she ?

A prediction would have sufficed

West Ham 2 Pool 2

The Legion Swanage is a very well known and supported gig, with a fantastic sound stage.

It was standing room only (all tables were taken well in advance of our starting).

At the end of the gig, punters are required to leave comments and they are used as the basis on which the committee decides to get you back or not. I’m told that the comments are published. I’ve seen some of them already.

Needless to say, we’ve already been informed that we’ll be booked again.

Would love to see some of the comments <laugh>
