I recall thinking that the half and half scarf was the most stupid idea ever and that they would never sell ... but they do ... not necessarily to fans of either team but to the tourists ... when I went to watch us at the Emirates the year we won the title there were loads of foreign (predominantly Chinese and Japanese) tourists buying the damn things (along with programs) as souvenirs of their match day experience ... fair enough I suppose ... but very different to the days when I was following Leicester home and away as a yoof
I'm not offended It's an interesting debate. I respect that a match goer sees the bigger picture...off the ball play, subtle tactical changes but you soon catch up with it all on the box. Nothing beats a live game atmosphere...I get that
Better on the tele mate. Unless you got a redifusion still **** going to games. If it ain't the ticket prices it's the ****ing stairs to the SAF stand that'll kill ya All this better tactics is bullshit too, why the **** do match goers watch motd? To see what teally went on Did I ever tell you I was on motd? In the kop with some pool mates. Not celebrating a John Barnes header against palace Anyway I digress. I didn't put up a 42" screen TV for **** all. It's called committment
I used to do to a lot of games, can't afford it often now and my latest experience put me off as it was in our new stand and way up in the air, I enjoyed the day taking my youngest but I won't go in that stand again.
I don’t enjoy the matches as much nowadays, but there’s no way that watching us on the tele is as good as standing and watching us live, not a chance. I don’t have to spend 15 minutes watching Grahame Souness cry at half time for a start.
Yeah life takes over. I was half joking with that earlier post. You can't beat the atmosphere of a game at the ground. That said I get to watch the games on tele with my lads, including he disabled one and that wins at the end of the day If that makes me a plastic then he'll yeah I'm plastic n proud
I love going to games, much prefer it to watching on the tele. Been going for about 12 or 13 years now. Still enjoy the day out as if it were my first, although I have missed a few this season as I hate Wembley. It’s not just the game and atmosphere I enjoy though, it’s the day out in general. I’m pretty lucky in that most of my mates are season ticket holders so I’ve always got people to go with, have a few beers and a good laugh.
The whole Spurs at Wembley idea was always ****. I can’t think of a better alternative but that’s not my problem.
Not sure the Emirates would be good enough for us...the stadium wasn't built to accommodate an atmosphere
Mahrez, Aguero and De Bruyne start, Pep worried that his 9-0 first leg advantage might get whittled away? I'm going for a city win 6-1
