He probably had offers but his family were hell bent on sending him down the same route as his brother. I’m not convinced he would have left us, if it wasn’t for the pressure his family put on him. He seemed genuinely happy here.

They’ll be saved at the eleventh hour and get a points deduction to all but confirm relegation but I won’t miss them. Horrible bastards.

There’s always a bit of agg there. Just one of those fan bases who like to be ****s and have a chip on their shoulder about being a big club when they’ve done less than **** all for decades. Went up there when I was 17 and a jobsworth steward wouldn’t let me in with my kid’s ticket so had to pay £20 I didn’t really have at the time.

We got promoted there 20 years ago and they didn’t let in the guy who writes the fanzine and doesn’t miss a game while living 200 miles from London simply because they knew it was a big day for us and they fancied being knobs about it. During the game they put live updates on the scoreboard of Bristol City’s game, whose result we needed to match.

Stupid ****ing tram from the city. Never seem to have an issue at Sheff U regardless of the result.
