fail to see how this can have led to the scrapping of FAC replays as thjat happened years ago and the last changes to LC were due to theIt was a factor for sure but the main one was the expanded CL I think?

Is anyone interested at all in this ****e excuse for a tournament, which is basically a way for FIFA to try compete with UEFA?
Here's a tip FIFA, if you want to host a tournament that will entertain, try not having part time clubs who have a bricklayer in goal.

I don't understand where all the prize money is coming from, given next to no-one is watching these games either in the stadia or on TV?? Surely there has to be interest somewhere for ad revenue to add up to all the money being given out to teams?
Trying to decide if I'm jealous/annoyed at Arsenal not being involved or happy. Less money coming in, but at least our players get a summer break.
average attendance even after last nights ia approx 55000 apparently . Money is from DAZN who bid a fortune for the rights just after PIF bought a chunk of the company .South America takes this far more serious than we do here think even rest of Europe doesI don't understand where all the prize money is coming from, given next to no-one is watching these games either in the stadia or on TV?? I dont think many sponsors or fans in Europe are interested, but either they have a big investor who has put up the prize money, or the advertising and sponsorship money is coming from elsewhere, probably from America (either North or South or a combination of both).
I have to admit, with Chelsea being in this tournament, I am a little worried about our players not getting a rest. They went straight from the PL season ending, to International football, then straight into this tournament......its a bit much really for what is essentially a glorified pre season tournament.
Means big money for us, especially if we get to the knock outs, but do I really give a **** about this tournament? Not really, no.

Mate ... including the ones you send out on loan, you've got a squad of 158....

And of the 158, I wouldnt piss on 150 of them if they were on fire.......again, Quality over quantity.
... although numbers 157 and 158 still cost £40 million each - financed by the sale of jars of Stamford Bridge air and condensation to yourselves at one hell of a mark-up ... all cleared by PSR / FFP because you are one of the 6 with the most marketable jars ...... although numbers 157 and 158 still cost £40 million each - financed by the sale of jars of Stamford Bridge air and condensation to yourselves at one hell of a mark-up ... all cleared by PSR / FFP because you are one of the 6 with the most marketable jars ...

If you set out to buy a steak but instead you buy a turd for £50m, its still a turd and the amount you paid for it wont make it taste more like a steak. The fact that you paid £50m for it just means you are an idiot for buying a turd for £50m. And if our owners are anything, they certainly are idiots.

Good old Thomas the Frank Engine........he'll choo choo Spurs up to lofty heights no doubt.
Brentford look to be in trouble next season though, lost their manager and probably Mbeumo too, he looks off to Man Utd. And I feel Frank may try to poach a player or two from Brentfords squad to join him at Spurs.
I think as well as the three promoted teams, West Ham, Wolves and Brentford will be in jeopardy next season.
I think Spurs, Man Utd and Everton will likely improve somewhat.
Would be nice for it to be a 6 horse race rather than 3 teams just making up the numbers

Unfortunately they will be in the Championship next year, and probably League One the year after that after the EFL are finished raw dogging them with fines and points deductions, so it might be a few years before the teams in the PLs bottom half have Leicester around taking up a relegation spot for themcan’t always rely on Leicester to be ****e.
but it does help![]()
He’s only been in the job 5 mins, but that Spurs role has aged Thomas Frank
