There’s no definitive answer but I reckon most people are taking the Europa over the League Cup. Give me the FA cup over either.
We had to beat Forest, Brentford, Chelsea, Arsenal twice and Liverpool to win it..that's far harder than what whoever wins the Europa this season will have faced, that isn't even bias.
Using your qualifying logic then the league cup is better than the fa cup because only the top 4 leagues qualify...whereas non league teams can get in the fa cup.
You miss the point, you didn't have to qualify for the league cup you got an automatic bye to the second round, for no other reason than your a prem team. Your name just went straight in the pot, it's the same level trophy my pub team enters at round 1. The FA Cup like it's lesser brother that you won is famous for the nostalgia attached to it and no other reason.
As I said above the FA Cup is famous for it's nostalgia not for any ability that Newcastle might have to offer....in fact none, because when did you last win it?
All I'd be interested in is the fact you won silverware, end of, trying to compare yourself to the mighty Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester United is just ridiculous, you've been a tuppence ha'penny club for the last 70 years ffs....and finally you won something...I'll say it again, the Mickey Mouse Cup, get real.
Surely that’s irrelevant to which is the better to win. You could have beaten a load of lower league teams and it wouldn’t mean any less.
Remind me, how old were you on these six occassions of winning the FA Cup?....actually how old were your parents on winning those six times?...in your own time bruv. If you use my logic it would make you as mad as me, you're not, you're just a dick.
Ffs if these lunatics are like this over the league cup, **** knows what they'd be like in the Champions League, hopefully Forest can fix this for us, otherwise Toon is going to take a lot of battering next season.
Theoretically a non league team can win the FA Cup..they can't win the league cup, so if we are on about qualifying for competitions making them better then league cup is better as you have to be in the top 4 leagues to qualify for it. Anyway i'm leaving it at that as i get the feeling brb isn't happy with me and i don't want to get banned again Goodnight to one and all.
I'm only teasing you bro, you just been banging on for the last couple of days, so I decided to have some fun....I'm off to bed now, so will leave you in peace. And yes, your dad's one does count.
I'd say European competitions are more prestigeous than domestic ones personally. I'd take the Europa over the FA cup and I think - I'm sure someone knows the answer to this - the money you get for it and the acclaim as a club is higher. I've no idea who won the domestic cups of other countries in the last decade but know a few of the Europa/Uefa Cup winners. As for League Cup or Europa League, they're clearly smaller trophies (I'd still say a European one is bigger than a domestic one even though I think that's easier to win if you look at the actual teams you have to beat) but from a fan point of view I currently don't really care. We won a trophy. I just can't see myself ever being complacent about whether it was big enough.
I'm back lads sorry.. Also using the qualifying logic..charity shield is better than the champions league as you have to have either won the league or the fa cup to qualify for it..you only have to finish 4th (5th this season) to qualify for the champs league.
