More independent and verified news for you: Alexander Isak. Full context. - He is the number one target for Arsenal and Arteta. - Arsenal have been in constant contact with Isak’s camp since early last year. Personal terms are not seen to be an issue at all for us. - Arsenal are willing to smash their transfer record if need be. -Interestingly, Berta has already presented ideas to make the record fee viable. Here is where it gets tricky… - If they qualify for UCL, its going to be a long day. - If they dont… here are the details which could factor in to a potential exit. - Newcastle and Isak decided to shelve talks for an extension last winter due to hitting an impasse on negotiations. They have agreed to re-open talks this summer. - Key Point - As I understand it, not qualifying for UCL would make it very difficult for Newcastle to match the demands of the Isak camp. Why? Although they have made headway with PSR they are not totally out of the woods. I am unclear on the exact percentages. - The fee touted publicly is incorrect and something I categorically cannot disclose. The constant articles from both sides are becoming draining and its all just public posturing. Do you expect Newcastle based journalists to say he is for sale? Liverpool have recently got in touch and Barcelona dont know their own budget for the summer yet. My advice is, until we know their status of UCL… shelve it. More importantly… Arsenal have made serious headway with Sesko in January and Arsenal believe if they approach RB Leipzig this summer, Sesko will prioritise us over any other club.
Just asked them and Al said he'd accept Zinchenko + £30m. Isak said he wants to join a club that wins real trophies so he's chosen Arsenal.
Perhaps, but then we'd probably just take Gordon and Guimaraes too. I'd probably swap Saka for the three of them.
I'd prioritise getting KO'd in the CL 1/4 finals by Bayern, Real or Barca before I'd care about coming as high as 2nd in the league.
Liverpool are pretty much the only Premier League team I could see him going to, only if Salah doesn't renew. Yes it would break the bank but not your wage structure and he's a player I think that's worth going in for. I think he'll go abroad myself but not until Summer 2026. If I was him I'd want to play for Real or Barca at some point and, although I'm biased, I think he's good enough. As for Arsenal... of course they want him. Every club would probably fit him in if given the opportunity but I honestly think there's as much chance of us signing Saka.
That's him smiling when he heard that big club Arsenal was after him and he could win proper trophies
