I don’t believe Carrick will ever be a premier league standard manager. He’s got way too many flaws and his team usually bottle the big games.
Would still take him over some of the 'usual suspects' getting touted... Ruud van Nistelrooy keeps getting mentioned with suggestions that we may have sounded him out when he was in charge of United for the League Cup game ... he would certainly have the 'kudos' to attract good players ... but I'd love it to be Mark Robbins - what he did at Cov was nothing short of miraculous...
No matter what happens our fans will keep finding reasons to lick the clubs and the managers arse, but the truth is we're just not particularly good, but not awful. The side is a mirror image of the manager.... a steady Eddie.
Toon board looks like one massive clique now. Any poster who goes against the majority and dares to show constructive criticism about the club/players/management, are ganged up on by the rest of the board. Interesting reading. They’re like the Russia of Not606.
Spot on... I mean they think Longstaff is the reason we win games... now we lost because Burn was out... the truth is West Ham have better players than us and played more intelligent football. They had a bad start to the sesson and our lot thought it was going to be a walk in the park and they were completely wrong. We're mid so about where we should be with the squad we've got but some still think we're going to challenge for top 4.. it's beyond me... what are they watching.
