Let's all be happy for each other for once. English teams starting to look strong again, it's great.

    Apart from Liverpool obviously <laugh>

Yeah, that was my point, he's scored his goals for teams who weren't in the top 4 like Chelsea usually are. How many strikers have scored 25 goals for Everton in the last few seasons?

I think he's a different striker to Drogba. Not as good outside the box, a beast in the box. I wasn't expecting him to have the impact on the team that he has done. His power and pace has massively helped the players around him who looked one dimensional with Ibra.

He's better than Drogba was at 24.

It's up to Rom to develop that ruthless predatory streak now that separates the good from the great. Who better than Zlatan to learn that from?

That's my worry for Kane, nobody to show him how to be a ruthless winner at Spurs.

What he does is provide a threat in behind, if you give him grass to run into his pace and power means he'll see off most CB's in the game on the run. Sides are therefore having to drop off you more than they did last season which means you're seeing more of the ball and with the quality you've got it's been a telling factor.

Lukaku was the best striker we'd had since Lineker, his alround play is the area he can improve as can his work rate, as I still think he's a bit too heavy, not fat just too muscle bound

Drogba was 26 when he joined Chelsea...
Lukaku was 24 when joined United...

2 years more improvement should see him whizz past Drogba.

He's already as ruthless in the box as Zlatan, what he hasn't got is Zlatans talent to strike a ball from distance, you can't teach that

He'll probably score as many goals, but he's not as talented a footballer as Drogba was, I've watched the lad every week for 4 years mate.

What I will say Morata has surprised me, really is a great footballer.

    Likewise!
I was really doubting him as Costa's replacement.
But so far he is killing it.
Pace, precision, composure, he looks the real deal

He's got a lot more to do before he's Zlatan quality anywhere on the pitch. Ibra has the close control of a magician and Rom's is that of a drunk elephant, plus Ibra has that nasty streak in him that Rom doesn't have yet. The more that side of his game develops, the more we can talk about Rom in the same breath as Drogba.

Have to agree with this as well.
PL teams looking strong in the CL so far.
    Encouraging to see.

Harsh on Morata to compare him with someone you consider a donkey?

    How about in all competitions?

    Did Lukaku ask permission?

Roms first touch was laughable a couple of years back. Big Dunc worked with him on that side of his game and it's definitely improved, but he's still not top notch in that area and never will be imo. But put the ball in behind a CB from anywhere from the halfway line on, and there's no-one better in Europe for me and hasn't been for a couple of years

Indeed his first touch was Chelsea but thankfully ended up with the bitters. <laugh>

    Convenient innit.

You can only compete for one trophy with PL goals.

I guess the rest don't matter.
