Problem for Shaw is match fitness - would likely still do a better job than Trippier ... my fear about Trent is defensively - I think he's a fine player when we are dominating ... but against the very ordinary Serbs and Danes we were getting outplayed for a significant amount of time - if we are playing someone good that means we will have to do a lot more defending - and with Trent as one full back / wing back up against the Spanish or French for instance ... doesn't bare thinking about - these guys are much better than Martinelli at Arsenal and he completely bamboozled Trent ....
Arnold as a WB is the only way to get him in the side. Walker would cover him if he went missing.
Both have had decent chances to score. I want Italy to be better than this though, the football is workmanlike rather than clever or with a bit of flair like last euros.
