Also signed Armstrong and close to a cb too. I can sell Elyounoussi being a success too.

Still need an attacking midfielder or a striker though.

    Elyounoussi a striker or winger?.

Armstrong is the ex Newcastle guy who went to Celtic right?

Think he's more of a winger/ inside forward type, got a 1 in 3 record at Basel.

Yeah Armstrong from Celtic and we've done well out of them in the past tbf.

Fair dos. Basle recruits are normally alright. Don't see Armstrong getting game time. Maybe you will be mid table. Depends how sparky gets on

Been looking at the fixtures now, probably not many aways I can get to before Christmas. Cardiff and Wolves are the two that stand out.

Next season shouldn't be a problem. Failure to win a pot will see some players discontented and looking elsewhere.

It's possible...said it at the end of last season.

Levy needs to relocate his pockets...a few major signings would move us up to where we think we should be.

He's got 4 weeks or he's getting some pelters off me.

Yeah I dont see any major exits from Spurs in this window.
They will want to play in the new stadium as well.
Spurs need to do something this year though.
Can't see Chelsea or Arsenal achieving anything of note, United either really.
For me the title is a 3 way race between City, Pool and Spurs.

i really can't see Spurs challenging.

    1. New stadium - another year in transition
    2. Key players are knackered from world cup which will lead to a not ideal start to the league

    I think they'll make top 4 though.

I think United are more likely to challenge then the spurs although this is notoriously Mourinhos meltdown season

Yeah spot on, you've a solid base and a good team, time for some ambition and big name signings to bolster that squad. You'd be a force with one or two top quality additions.

Spurs have most of the minerals.
Decent keeper and defence, solid midifled and a 20+ goal a season striker.
What I think they are missing is a bit of flair.
They dont have anyone like a Hazard or a Sanchez, someone who plays behind the striker and has a bit of oomf about him.
If they could have an in prime Van Der Vaart now, he would be the perfect addition to that XI.

I agree, I think Alli is supposed to be that man but he wasn't good last season imo. Kane upped his game and puts a shift in if he's scoring or not whereas if Alli isn't having the best of games he becomes a passenger.

Have to disagree with you boys there.

Alli is that magical player to do the tricks and flicks. Erikssen and Alli for the creativity.

I thought that about Alli but someone told me for his "down" year last year he still managed 10 goals and 12 assists which is pretty phenomenal.

I don't know what it is about this spurs team, maybe it's leadership or ability to ground out results but (i haven't looked at the stats) when they hit their poor period, it seems to go on for a while. They just always seem to be off the pace. Maybe it's their poor starts to the season.

I don't see this season changing that

Poor starts can't be under estimated and we do that every season. Needs to change... I don't think we need too much but what we do need is essential...hitting that glass ceiling every year.

Quite frustrating...let's see what financial fortunes the new stadium brings. You read our board and I know you've seen me saying it's do or die for Levy as far as I am concerned. He's done great getting the stadium but we need someone to say to
Poch...go and spend a 100 mill. He won't do that. For me if he isn't prepared to spend like the other top teams are going to...in order to purchase quality then he needs to sell up...he will get a cool Billion for THFC...so he's got nothing to be worried about.

People will say he's done so much to get us here...he has...I don't think he's a dickhead but I think his blueprint for success might result in us getting left behind because other clubs don't give a **** about his blue print...the top dogs will spend whilst we ****ing groom Jack Grealish for 2020.

Not sure it's levys fault for the poor starts but it is his fault for not bringing the big guns. At least now he's paying your players properly so he is splashing sort of

Yeah, i never bring what you say on your board to here at there are different worlds else theres plenty of wumming material :p.

You're actually quite objective on that board haha

No it's not Levy's fault for the slow starts...I don't know what that is all about. Harry Kane needs to start turning up in August for a start.
