Good. The end of these rules are coming in the not too distant future imo. With points deductions flying all over the place it's inevitable someone will challenge the entire concept before long and I believe they'll win.
In the main game Iceland look tidy. It’s on a neutral ground so not sure why they’ve made Israel such big favourites.
He's looked class since joining us on loan. Definitely too good for the championship. Hard not to root for him after beating cancer.
Does that mean therefore that the charges will not be a minor one of overspending ie 4 - 10 points deduction, BUT actual fraud hmmmmmmmmmm
Well it wasn't all mate was it? Though I do take your point, reap what you sow n all that. I think we voted against it at the time. I think lots of people bought into the myth that these rules were dreamt up with only the best intentions about protecting clubs from financial ruin rather than merely protecting the big clubs from competition. Remarkably there some people out there who still do believe that. Genuinely baffles me.
Probably right mate ... but I'm sure the lawyers will make hay on our attempts to comply compared with the flagrant disregard to compliance shown by some other clubs ...
Just looked it up and there were 6 clubs who voted against at the time. City (obviously), us, Villa, Wba, Swansea, and Fulham. http://en.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/192114.html Interesting snippet from the article in a quote from David Gold - "What's driving the thing is that we've got to avoid another Portsmouth" Bury, Macclesfield, and Reading fans must be delighted that these rules were put in place that protected them from dodgy owners ruining their club.
Could argue that you were punished by your relegation as trying to comply with these rules massively contributed to it. Not sure cooperation will be your best defence given you've not submitted your accounts mind
Read our statement mate - coming out fighting - threatening to take legal action against the Premier League because they've failed to follow their own protocol etc ... think we must gave some very clever lawyers on it
