He had a trial with us, scored a hat-trick and we chose to spend £2.7m on Mike Sheron instead. A few weeks later he was beasting United at Old Trafford.
Newcastle are in the Q/Fs of the FA Cup and Munse is whinging ... ...for years Newcastle managers happily exited the cup competitions at the earliest opportunities in favour of simply surviving in the league ... what's the fookin point in that? A day out at Wembley is a day to remember... and part of what footie is all about ..
Remember when Maradona was so desperate to sign for Sunderland he threatened to retire from football when the Argentinian military blocked it and declared him untransferrable. Guy would have had a fantastic career if that had happened and wouldn’t have cheated against England. We’d have probably won the World Cup in 86 and it would have all been down to Sunderland.
Yes because regardless once you lose 5 in a row it starts to cut. Especially when you know they're roughly 10 years apart on average.
Absolutely not I really enjoy other clubs failures that's how it works right? I actually take some pleasure in the toons failures.
because then you get to say to the other Toon fans I told you so and that helps your self esteem and feeds your narcissism please log in to view this image
You can't have had many Wembley days out in your lifetime for any of the major trophies and I'm excluding the Charity Shield. In fact I can only think of two in your lifetime, back to back FA Cup visits....am I right? TWO
Only 3 of the 5 in mine, but like I say it's probably worse because you know it's maybe never coming again. The big clubs know it's coming regularly. Actually we've lost at Wembley 5 times in my life I think because we lost in a semi and even lost 4-0 in the ****ing charity shield It's why I dont know why our fans even look fwd to Wembley because I know for a fact it will end in certain defeat.
Oh yeah I forget people get Wembley for semi-finals, so ignoring them and the Charity Shield, two as I said, right?
I hate that, I understand they wanna milk Wembley to make more cash out of it, but I much preferred it when FA Cup semis were held at Old Trafford and Villa Park. Really waters Wembley down by holding the semis there too.
We lost the final a year ago mate... I'm wondering if there's a record for consecutive wembley defeats ... we're at 7 in a row.
