"It is a great honour to become manager of a club with a history as rich as that of Skelmersdale United Football Club." Pascal Chimbonda.
Anyone else really not give a toss about these friendlies and qualifiers? 10 games into a league season.
It's hard to actually care about international games outside of tournaments. We're usually a functional rather than exciting team and "success" is such a low target that it doesn't make it interesting. Italy game is something at least but overall playing the likes of Malta and North Macedonia don't bear watching.
Pisses me off truth be told. To keep having these ****ing international breaks when teams are trying to get into their stride early on in the season. I'd rather all internationals be played in the close season, maybe even have a whole month off mid season to dedicate to internationals if there is a tournament coming up, i'd prefer that to the current bullshit, 2 weeks on, a week off, 3 weeks on, a week off etc etc Drives me mental Of course the fact that I couldn't give a singular **** about England or international football in general kinda sways my opinion. I watch the world cup during the summer to appease my need for football, but I have no inclination towards one team over another. I just like to watch good football.
In the womens tournament I was actively rooting against England in the final, because I didnt want to have to put up with the 6 month ****fest over the womens game that would have ensued.
Our defence is all over the place. Oh look, Maguire is playing and Kalvin Phillips is protecting them. I've said it the last few games but we are going backwards under Southgate, now. I predict out in the group stages in Germany and Southgate to leave then. Meh.
