His playing days were before my time but I remember him on soccer Saturday and he always came across like a good guy
England tomorrow night in the EURO's but that's on Ch4 for everyone which is good. viaplay have only gone and put NI, Republic and Wales all on the same time. I'm like, come on guys spread these fixtures out a bit.
I don't believe that mate. once you've watched L2 football or Div4 in old money, then anything else can only be better. I thought all four teams in the Nation League SemI's were decent, far better than some of the dross turned out by the Prem.
I've given up on the womens world cup now, I found out they are covering the Central America (men) games (Canada & US too), so the women and FIFA can fook off now.
Looking through my fixture listing, I can only see the EUROS and CONCACAF games before the new season. Although I have just seen this in the listing on the 20th June: 17:00 Denmark U21 v Wales U21 UEFA Under-21 Championship Qualifier S4C
I think it's current format has only been around for a few years. I think it was Libby that got me originally onto it, because I didn't understand what it was, but turns out it replaced friendlies.
Look at the times on these for later... 00:00 Panama v Canada CONCACAF Nations League Semi-Final Viaplay Sports 2 03:00 USA v Mexico CONCACAF Nations League Semi-Final Viaplay Sports Fook off!
Anyway, tomorrows fixtures: 19:45 Denmark v Northern Ireland UEFA EURO 2024 Qualifier Viaplay Sports 1 19:45 Greece v Republic of Ireland UEFA EURO 2024 Qualifier Viaplay Xtra 19:45 Malta v England UEFA EURO 2024 Qualifier Channel 4 19:45 Wales v Armenia UEFA EURO 2024 Qualifier
Actually quite looking forward to next season tbqh... this one was like a bad dream ... no transfers over the summer ... Fofana throwing toys out of the pram to get the Chelsea move... James Justin snapping his achilles... Tielemans and Soyuncu running down contracts to leave on a free ... Brenda's pompous arrogance... ended up more angry than disappointed by the relegation... felt like being in freefall .. Now got a good opportunity to shift out all those that think they are bigger than the club ... and if we do bring in Maresca as manager the excitement (potential) of that appointment will re-energise the entire fan base ...
Malta v England ...another chance for Hazza to advance his position as England's record goalscorer ... I'm thinking probably a brace... from the penalty spot ... against yet another force to be reckoned with on the footballing World stage
I just about remember him playing for Utd, back in the days when the FA cup final was a major TV event for the whole family.
Ok well I'm pretty sure Grizeman was in the team that made it to the Euros Final (2016), the World Cup (2022) and the France team that won the Nations League 2 years ago. The point was to give some meaning to friendlies as far as i know. You're in a group of 3 or four teams and then the winner of all the group A's qualify to the SF of the overall tournament. We qualified for the SF of the first one (a few years back) from qualifying in a group with Croatia and Spain but then got relegated in this round against Germany, Italy and Hungary as we got results like this a year ago:
