Barnes and Maddison will fetch the money required to build a budget championship side plus the parachute payments will help.

The information coming out is that the parachute payments will possibly be entirely absorbed by debt repayments to external creditors (the main creditor is the family so that bit doesn't really matter). They have the 7th highest wage bill in the EPL and Perreira is one of a few on over £100k, which is a problem if they can't shift him. Vardy is an interesting one, I can't see him staying as his wages are also very high but he's not really worth much money - can see him going to a team like Forest/Palace.

How they've handled contracts recently is pretty dumb. I get the idea of holding out on Tielemans but selling him last summer for £30m or so would have allowed a couple of replacements who would have added similar or more and would now be sale-able assets. Maddison "£60m for one leg" last year is now part of a relegated team and only has one year on his contract - I can see them getting £50m for him but if no-one offered more than £30-40 (which is surely the realistic rate given his contract) it wold be interesting to see what they did. They can't afford to keep these players now. Long term I'd think they'd be better off selling those they can get money for and rebuilding, even if it takes a couple of years.

I will refer you to his FA Cup winners medal having set up the winning goal ... and his place in all time Premier League record books ... one of 2 hat-tricks in the league's record away win ... so he's leaving for pastures new having been more successful in the Premier League era than Newcastle United have been <laugh>

He's been **** for you, he's had tons of pelters off your fanbase. Clutching a bit there Fosse.

I honestly think you should come back up regardless of what happens in the summer. The money you generate from Barnes and Maddison and the money saved from the others wages will be a huge help with regards the drop in finances.

However, IF you don't come back next year, I see it being a while. Bigger, better and more historic clubs have failed previously, and that is the reality of it.

You get to crow over us thinking Leicester are superior because you won 3 trophies lately, and the reality is, we simply think "where the **** have you been for the previous 125 years?"

Word on the grapevine is Maddison had requested wages of £250k a week, so number of clubs looking to do a deal at £60m and pay that will be very few and far between.

Contract management has been disastrous ... but don't be surprised to see us spend s bit ...

Vardy will score plenty at Championship level IMHO ...

I think some of the high earning Europeans will be moved on ... but there will still be a good core left and there are indeed some promising lads in the academy and some out on loan ...

Think we might just surprise a few ..

Lot of words ... could just have typed "Trophy Envy" ... <laugh>

The last few times you've laughed didn't work out very well for you mate.

I'll be laughing until I shed this mortal coil fella ... we broke the Big 6 monopoly on the Prem title (including Spurs out of kindness) and also won the FA Cup beating United and Chelsea along the way ... nothing that happens subsequently can take that away ... nor tarnish the memories ... sorry if that stings a bit <laugh>
