HIAG doesn't have time for football ... he has his hands full with being intellectually superior to everyone ... or stuck to the comma key ...
That ****ing 'intellectually superior' comment And from somebody who didn't know his acronym from his synonym.
Ellipsis ... when you use 3 in a row it transforms the humble full stop into something rather different ... it's like HIAG and polyjuice (or sock accounts) .... This has been an educational post on behalf of the Educate A Spud Society ... and proves the old adage:; "you can lead a Spud to culture, but you can't make it think"
I'm watching BT sport atm, does anyone else think that the guy doing the promotional trailers for the Europa league, sounds like the prat Rocket from Soccer am, only now he's speaking in that silly new London accent, MLE isn't it?
Coz Bob said during the period of Valencia and Pool that was where he was top notch. So I was citing that even outside of those periods he was/ is still a class manager.
sorry should have responded to your previous post. Yeah he's won a few trophies and obviously that is still good but relatively speaking they were trophies that are not as heralded. He hasn't won a big one since Liverpool and he's had teams and money to be there fighting for it: Inter - aging team but he should have done better, sacked Real Madrid - again hard to manage especially when you are an uncaring tactician, underachieved - sacked Napoli - he had a fair bit of money to spend and i would say performed par for the course - left Chelsea - over achieved winning the europey but underachieved in the league - not long enough really
He didn’t get much backing at Inter though did he? He took over Jose’s side that were all aging and didn’t get to make many signings, I think that’s why he ended up leaving. Still grabbed a couple of trophies there though. He didn’t have a full season with you lot. Took over like half way through and still won Europa, even when your fans were digging him out from the start lol. With Napoli you’re never realistically gonna win Serie A while Juve continue to dominate, same as Bayern in the Bundesliga or PSG in Ligue 1, so any trophy is commendable. I think if you compared Rafa’s CV to most in Europe he eclipses 90%. Enjoyed moderate to great success at practically every club he’s been at. And he’s showed that he doesn’t just need to manage the very best side in the league to win stuff. I rate that.
Yeah he’s a decent manager is Rafa. He gets the piss ripped out of him for the fat waiter and Fackts stuff, but where ever he’s been he’s done well and he’s got Newcastle back into the prem and a decent mid table finish. If they keep him he could push on next season and challenge for the top 6
Nah he didn't get much backing at Inter but it wasn't a bad team that he got them plummeting. Are you serious about his trophies (club world cup and the italian verison of the charity shield!)? Hard to usurp Juventus i agree but he spent big money at napoli and even if you're not expected to win it, you think the manager will raise the team so that it can be better than a team with better individuals. We did it last year, leicester than year before and fergie did it with united. As for when he finished at napoli, they didn't even qualify for CL in his final season. I think we'll just have to disagree about rafa
Have to agree with your general opinion of Rafa but I personally don’t like him for his comments he made about Chelsea but he is a decent manager.
we're not HIAG And PISKIE. no need to go round in circles, plus i got the last word whilst managing to diffuse what will be a cyclical debate!
It’s never a debate when I’m involved, Bob. It’s just my correct assessment and you foolishly disagreeing
