I agree it's nice to get Brighton dealt with because they were sniffing around with games in hand. Brighton dealt with by Tottenham and then the toon will have the opportunity to deal with Tottenham.

Marsche would be a decent choice to be fair and you never know it might work. Loves the sound of his own voice and talks a great game, the players will actually believe they're worldbeaters for the first few weeks and really bust a gut charging around everywhere. That's until his woeful tactics prove otherwise, but he's definitely capable of delivering a new manager bounce
