Update on Diego in a box :

An England fan earlier had their ticket cancelled by the Football Association after travelling to Naples with an offensive banner about Diego Maradona.

The fixture was played at Napoli's stadium which was named after the Argentina legend, who died aged 60 in 2020.

An FA spokesperson "strongly condemned" the individual, saying the flag included a "highly offensive message".

"We immediately took steps to have their ticket cancelled before the match," a statement added.

Same nobhead that paid to have the "White Lives Matter" banner flown over the Ethiad.

<laugh>

I hope the **** got a proper shoeing down some Naples backalley by a load of Napoli ultras when he was off somewhere trying to catch the game on TV.

I was pleased with that win tonight, 3 points in Italy, when down to 10 men is a decent result and a good start to the campaign. Well done Harry on his goal scoring record, never easy putting it away in Naples, but kept his cool. I think we earned that one tonight.

[HASHTAG]#The[/HASHTAG] only negative being that we got worse and they got better, as the game went on. Which seems to be a bit of a theme when we play Italy. Could have cost us again last night, but tbf our defence looked solid throughout.

Stadium was a disappointment imo. Running track round the pitch? bollocks to that...

I remember when Stamford Bridge had a dog track round it. Worst place in the league to watch football back then. One of my favourite PL grounds to visit now, but that might be because Saints always seem to play well there.

or uncovered stands. What are they all about?

think wolves ground had a bit like that until recently(could be 10 years ago)

Hillsborough too, just why?

Villa Park back in the day ... was at the '73/74 (I think!) FA Cup semi-final replay against Liverpool ... we had the Holt end, standing then of course ... and the scousers had the open terrace at the opposite end (again standing) ...
