because they agree with him

they probably agree with him because his stance(linekar’s) is non aggressive and helping the needy…it’s as simple as that.

Call it left, right, centre, a bit this way or that way but the ultimate fact is that Lineker spoke up for the vulnerable voiceless group of people who seem to face unfair discrimination.

basically Lineker spoke up for that homeless man outside Tescos whilst the rest told him to ****off and go n sit somewhere else….that’s not politics, that’s human nature and comes down to the cloth you are cut from.
Can’t argue with any of that.
I’m talking more about the issue of free speech. In my opinion EVERYONE is entitled to free speech, wether it’s Gary Lineker or Piers Morgan. No one should be censored because they say things people don’t like.

To a point yeah but in a civilised society there has to be things you cannot say of course.

I agree in Gary Linekers entitlement to free speech, whether I agree with him or not. The following is not aimed at you.

We shouldn't forget though as a country we took away Shamima Begum's rights, we made her stateless, we set a trend for silencing people. We all know if she had been a white 14/15 year old the story would have been different. And for that I look at everyone, the left, centre and right, so many silent voices.

What about the human rights in building Qatar, those migrants that died, died for football, so we could all celebrate, as a nation we are all hypocrites, pretending to care but happy to turn a blind eye. Did Gary Lineker donate his fees to the Crisis Charities, what did he get another £1M.

Let's not forget it was Labour that started the war in the middle east, that led to a lot of todays problems, we went hand in hand with America. I don't need Gary to tell me what's wrong with the world, while he sits comfortably on a £1.2 million pay check from the BBC tax payer - while many on here are dodging the fee.

Where are the voices of Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer when the media highlight another sexual offence case within our game, another young man getting dragged through the prosecution service, where were the voices then, no it's all hush hush, we mustn't discuss it.

45,000 refugees (via boats) came through Dover last year, but councils elsewhere don't want to help, and when they do the residents of those areas protest, hypocrites. so Kent and it's residents get lumped with the problem, because no one else cares, it's easy to shout from afar, while doing nothing yourselves.

But you've all spoken out, so that fixes the problem lol.

Hypocrites all and eveyone.

He has free speech, he's not been arrested or charged with anything as far as I'm aware, and his twitter account isn't banned.

I’m more meaning that the BBC have removed him from his job because they didn’t agree with his views.
Surely the viewers should be in control of who they want to see on telly. If MOTD viewing figures are high, then obviously people don’t mind watching him.
Be interesting to see what the figures are for tonight.
