As a manager do you really care where the money comes from, that's not what you're employed to do. Much like I wouldn't expect my manager Neil Harris to know where our new American owners money comes from, all he needs to know is he's a property developer worth probably shy of a billion quid - I'm not sure why a club manager would need to know anymore than that.

As long as you are not part of any claims as was suggested from the Evans days at Crawley or was it Boston... https://www.skysports.com/football/news/2394265/evans-escapes-jail-sentence then it's not really any of the managers business, his priority should remain on the pitch. If I was Pep I'd just play it dumb, which is quite easy when you leave school at 15. :bandit:

Edit: it actually made me think of the time Evans did come to our club, ppl asked what I thought, I said keep the fooker away from the (financial) books and we wont have a problem - oh and make sure he understands we have no money for players lol.
I think if you don’t care that’s no problem but you state that from the start
To commit to it by saying that if we are guilty I will leave is a daft position to put yourself in (no dafter than commenting about wind I might add)
I know they weren’t the exact words btw but that’s the gist
I just think what happens to Pep is going to be very interesting
2 seasons ago pundits were foretelling of a Klopp Pep battle for the next decade….
It’s a funny old game isn’t it

I know I am probably asking this in the wrong place and bearing in mind I don’t even agree there should be restrictions to teams like City Chelsea Newcastle

However is Pep playing a game here or is he just doubling down on his first denial

I agree with him that all clubs or balls deep in **** (paraphrasing lol) but why doesn’t he understand that City we’re not proved innocent with UEFA, they es aped on a technicality
He genuinely seems to not understand that

even Fosse admitted Leicester ‘had stretched the parameters,’
Why can’t Pep just refuse to talk about it

Let's just park all this under 'let's wait and see what happens' and come back to it in 4/5 years when it's been through all the courts.

By which time Pep will be long gone btw.

I'm clearly missing something in all this Bumps in my thought process - I would think it's a quite reasonable reaction to have, to say if we are guilty then I will leave, a manager would have their own integrity to protect, rather than being associated with a financially bent football club.

Pep don't have the cash, if the owners are stupid enough to let him pay ridiculous wages and transfer fees due to his demands, then that's the fault of the owners to me, not the manager. I could see why City fans might take issue with Pep, but City don't really have fans so that's not a problem.

If my lot had dealt with City all those decades ago properly, City wouldn't even be a discussion today, they would have been R.I.P <laugh>

Yup, my lot proper fooked it up, wasn't that the year you won the champions league as well?

That's what I meant, we won the treble that year...

and I got married to my first, so was never gonna be perfect tbf.

Watched it in my hotel in Salou after the CL final.

Believe it or not, most of us United fans were cheering City on (soz brb!), them being the nonentity they were.

Still high from a couple of days before really!

Another one of our yoof (Hannibal) scores a beaut for Birmingham against West Brom.

I only turned this on bcos the manager of West Brom, Carlos Corberon? is linked with the Leeds job, and they're 1-0 down.

I listened to it on the radio whilst working outside on my uncles house - was digging up trenches in the garden for something, fenceposts i think but can't 100% remember. I do recall it being an awesome finish though. There was a reason I wanted Man City to win but I can't remember why, probably Joe Royle as I always kind of liked his old school style.

This is where you tell me that the game was at 8pm-10pm and my memory is entirely false.

After Leeds win tomorrow they'll stick with their caretaker manager.

He came on last week v Swansea.

Tahith Chong also played.

Neither are all that, honestly. Haircuts, the pair of them.

Chong is playing tonight. He's not been that good.

Hannibal's played well tbf Birmingham's best player in this game, but imo Iqbal's the better midfielder out of the two.

Edit: Just to add both teams tonight have been utter gash.

Think the part you are missing is today he said City had been cleared of wrongdoing by Uefa when in fact thay were found not guilty by the Court of Arbitration for Sport as they ruled that they were beyond the allowable time limit not that they hadn't committed the said offences .

If it was my club and he was my manager I'd be telling him to keep his gob shut. Why Pep even wants to get involved in that chat is beyond me, he's responsible for what happens on the pitch, not the finances, the owners just tell him a simple yes or no if he can have something. I don't know why managers/coaches whatever you want to call them, get so involved, so if he has been speaking out of turn he only has himself to blame, people don't know how to keep their mouths shut anymore.
