Thing is, City's style of play is exactly what you don't want to do against 'Pool, unless you can convert your chances and out-score them (which City don't seem to be able to do).

When we took 'Pool apart, it was because our defenders - and particularly our defensive midfield - stopped them playing, and allowed our attackers to boss the game up front.

City simply do not know how to do that.
