Another non league play-off hopeful that my lot have history against. 1992-93 Halifax were away to my lot, in a game of survival, my lot won 2-0 which relegated Halifax to non league football and meant my lot finished 2nd bottom, but back then only the bottom team were relegated.

Halifax did win promotion back to the league in the late 90's but some years after they were relegated again and went into administration, so not sure if this a reborn club under a similar name?

Seem to remember Halifax knocking Man City out of the FA Cup way back when and then there was that brilliant cup run by Chesterfield as well.

Two proper football clubs <ok>

Chesterfield were a decent team at one time in the league, don't know what happened to them, they just seemed to plummet. I think even maddog went to manage them, but couldn't make it work either.

fairly sure , like so many others , that it is a phoenix club .

Was trying to think why I knew the name Danny Rowe, but it appears there is two, non league and league one.
 
I've only just realised, Maguire the defender (number 6) for Chesterfield, is the brother of Harry Maguire.
