Jinkies! Have you seen the team for tonight? I'd have rested a few more for this dead rubber, tbh, and have them ready for Saturday, especially Fab and Virgil. We're second anyway now, dunno why we're flogging ourselves to get second with knobs on. :emoticon-0112-wonde

I wouldn't. City lose one game and it's down to GD for the Premier League. PL more important than FA Cup.

City have 4 better GD than us. So, not being presumptuous, but we need to beat Villa by four to be where we need to be to take advantage of a potential City screw up.

Not really getting 3 points is all that matters, we know what happens when you chase goals. Get the win and a couple of goals, if City lose a game it reduces their goal difference.

Bit much to hope City lose by more than one goal.

Four goals will mean if they lost by one goal we would be up by one, which is why it remains my benchmark to remain in touching distance should City go Spursy.

(Not saying a win should be taken for granted... But worth the risk of keep trying even if ahead by one or two).

I just don't think it's the time for chasing, get the win first.

Be a bit late if we leave it to another weekend. If we only win by one goal and City win by five goals again and it's game over for us even if they do lose a game.

After Villa it's Newcastle and Soton. Newcastle in form... Soton gives us one last chance to catch up on GD.

Not winning by multiple goals effectively ends the chase just as surely as not winning will do so today.

Just not going to happen.

Just turned over to see the Brazilian butcher hack down Digne. Filling the Thiago role
And Allison doing his best Pickford impression.

barely touched him compared to the bottling he got at Goodison from his former fans, tbf. :emoticon-0138-think
