Hopefully this season will be a lesson for the owners that they need some football experienced heads. Unfortunately they have been born into money so will be naive about many aspects of life. We can see the effect of rich kids in the regime running the USA.We don't seem to have the X factor when it comes to attracting these established players and we don't have the mentality as a club to attract them through offering competitive wages.
So I don't see it changing but in an ideal.scenario, I agree, we need established experience. There are players out there who can play this role but you have to know your football to find these players since they are not headliners and unfortunately for us, our owners don't know football.
Example:
When Lesta won it in 16...they had Robert Huth who had all the minerals to lead them at the back and he was a previous winner. They also bought Cambiasso from Inter who was in the twilight of his career but had the pedigree of a winner. Both names aren't snobby enough for us though and they both lack the all important 'sell on potential', a non football issue from the handbook of these non football people.
