On Sunday I was hearing that Pool were **** and made us look good

Tonight it's the tie was already over and Atletico were in cruise control that's why we looked decent

Given what happened against the Toon and Kings Rd FC,
and our result last week, fearing a cricket score aggregate
result was not unfounded.

The team acquitted themselves by not allowing that to
happen, and coming after the Poool game.

We'll know soon enough whether these games mean owt.

One thing Tudor does seem to have done is get people fighting for our club again

Tudor's certainly willing to roll up his sleeves and offer out any journalist (or, based on tonight, referee) who tires to bullshit us, we've had Mickey Van call out people for up making stuff up about the players in the last few days, and the atmosphere tonight was immense

Need to carry the performance into the weekend now.

The Forest game will be the real litmus test as to whether Tudor’s coaching is beginning to work or we just had a rare good game vs Pool and a decent performance against an over-confident/ semi-complacent Atleti. The signs are promising though. We’re getting players back at an important time too which is huge.

We actually played really well as a team.
The players stood up to be counted and gave it everything.
The second goal was a poor one to concede (but any goal conceded is poor) but thought we were unlucky with the first goal.

The crowd were outstanding...sang all night especially after they scored both goals.

We played better than them, and they were rattled at times...and they are a very good team.

If and I mean IF we play like this we have a chance of staying up...and I have been convinced we are down since the west ham debacle.

Am going again on Sunday...more of the same please

COYS

oh and Tudor seems to have got his message through to the team...they didnt let their heads drop after the first or second equaliser... I really hope my view of him being a terrible choice is proved to be very, very wrong
Of course your wrong . You make an artwork of it . You have spent too long being machiaveli to convince anyone. :1980_boogie_down:

Credit to Tudor and the players ( most of them anyway ) they finally appear to be motivated for the challenges ahead. They've shown glimpses during the season of what they are capable of and these last few games we're playing with the most conviction so far this season. I'm delighted we got the win tonight, fair dues to them, they earned it!

King if you can't see the difference in this performance ............

It was better but the tie was over before a ball was kicked.

Sunday will be a better measure even though Atleti are a better team than Forest.

Spurs had no pressure on them tonight. Sunday is must win and usually they crumble

Agreed, Sunday and today were vastly improved performances. Big question is can we do it against Forest?

That’s my point. I’m not being negative for the sake of it

Play well and win on Sunday and just maybe there might be a decent run and survival.

Play like most of the league campaign and the last two games mean nothing

I think they had massive pressure on them. They all know they have to turn their performances around and the fact they never gave up right until the end was crucial to their sense of well being.
Madrid have some great players but overall I think Forest may be a tougher team.

I understand your point, and agree to an extent. I think tonight’s performance was good purely because the players care greatly about the CL. I do question some of the players and their commitment in the PL. Spurs can put in a shift against the Manchester clubs, Liverpool but fall apart against those that scrap hard rather than play technical football!

Yeah you’re possibly right. They know the eyes of Europe will see the goals and game so a good performance might put them in the shop window
