I don't think the PL will allow the 6th hightest revenue to go down.
If you think that’s true then you clearly haven’t watched any referereeing performance in our matches this season (including the shocking penalty against us at St James’s) There’s a reason we’re reffed differently to other clubs!

Stone wall that one? You were actually very fortunate in that game... We let in the ****test over head kick I have ever seen in my life.

10 years on, shades of Leicester 2016 starting to appear. Media already been pushing the narrative they want but teams with nothing to play for now rolling over for our rivals. Not sure how it can, but I expect the refereeing of our games compared to our rivals game get skewed even more towards ensuring we’re relegated.

Great chance for the players to stick it to them, this is perfect fuel for the fire to come out swinging tomorrow.

The problem is almost everyone we've got left has loads to play for. The lay of the land in mid table means everyone from Chelsea down to Newcastle has hopes of qualifying for Europe. 8 teams separated by 6 points at this stage of the season is unheard of.

So none of Sunderland, Brighton, Villa, Chelsea or Everton will be in 'beach' mode when we play them, whilst Leeds will probably need to win for their own survival bid.

My gut feeling is we've left ourselves with too much work to do and not enough time to do it in, which funnily enough summarises pretty much every transfer window under ENIC at the same time.

You genuinely believe that don’t you :emoticon-0104-surpr
That we are reffed differently to other teams for some reason, yes I do.

Some of the decisions against us (or not given for us) and refereeing performances in our games this season have been some of the worst you’ll ever see. Plenty of examples this season.

See arsenal’s penalty yesterday, quite harsh I thought due to the distance he was from the ball but not enough to overturn. No way is Michael Oliver giving that pen to spurs and isn’t enough of a pen for VAR to overturn the other way.

The fact that we have not had one type of that decision go our way this season and these things are meant to ‘even themselves out’ seems we are either really unlucky or there is some weird bias refs have against us where the threshold seems to be different, especially when it comes to the ‘clear and obvious error’ bar used in VAR reviews.

Until someone can explain how RKM can have a goal disallowed against Arsenal one week, then a worse push is allowed against us the following week at Fulham (the worst example of this you will see all season) then people will always think like this.

Has PGMOL responded to our complaint about this yet?

They couldn't apologise fast enough when Norbert was crying about a replay when we beat them a couple of seasons ago

Has everyone given up on the matchday threads?

So, are we going to see the “new manager bounce” today or will it take time to see any positive results like it normally does with Zerbi when he joins a new club?

I’m expecting the team to have a much better performance today but I’m not sure we’ll have enough to win. I think Sunderland have lost only 4 times at home this season or thereabouts?

I’m normally excited about watching spurs, even in recent times but I’m afraid to say that finally my bubble has burst and my enthusiasm has died.

I think those 4 losses have all come in their last four home games though so their home form has massively dropped.

If we can get that first win by hook or by crook and absolutely no reason the players we have available can’t do that today then I think we will pick up a few more and stay up quite comfortably in the end.

If we lose today and next weekend though then it will be getting to late and will likely be the end of it.

This is the match day thread from what I gather

and yeh let's see if these players respond to their 3rd new manager bounce of the season or if they will, indeed, clarify for me that they are the problem.

Looking at the odds it appears the bookies can't split them.. 31/20 for either team to win! I think we have enough positives to win this today.
