Will, as another fan said to me earlier, the way that the referees on VAR duty it are making match defining calls is really worrying and it's destroying football as we know it!!! :emoticon-0121-angry
 
Or, my view, VAR itself is ruining our game. Sick to death of hearing about it. How did we manage without it all those years.

100% agree, but it's the way it's being used and unless something is fine about and sooner rather than later the better. Crouch and Wright were saying exactly the same last night on MotD2. There match referee has to at least go to the monitor AND the fans need to be kept informed.
That first penalty decision was ridiculous.

I'd say they were both relevant. Hence why they've not been merged.
But if a non NCFC game is taking place today surely it makes sense to use the 'Today's games' thread so everyone - including your goodself, doesn't have to trawl around looking for it.
If a player gets a new, improved contract, or suspinjured, or charged with affray, etc, it's an ongoing situation so belongs on the 'General football' thread?
I don't see why anyone should have difficulty grasping the difference between the two? :emoticon-0112-wonde

The truth Dave, is I was talking about Football, until I had to respond to your usual whinging about absolutely nothing.

If there is one, link me and delete this, if there isnt a thread, Maybe we can discuss other games on here?"

This is FML's original post. A thread entitled "Today's games" (rather than "other games" is unduly restrictive e,g. timewise -- you might want to post about a particular match not being played that day; "General Football Thread" on the other hand, invites posts on a far wider range of issues than FML intended. Maybe we could change the title of "Today's games" to something like "Non-NCFC Matches"?

To be fair, any City match will have its own match day thread so "Today's games" will cover ANY other match being played on that day. It is simple English language for goodness sake!

Bit stupid. You can't read or understand the first post of why this thread started in 2015. Instead, you attack people who post on it. Nice Dave. Nice.

What you keep saying this thread is for, is not restricted by what you have suddenly decided. You didn't make it. So already, you are wrong.

I started the thread because there was no thread for talking about football news and games that weren't Norwich.

Just because you have suddenly decided who can post and about what you want on it, and what everyone else is allowed to post on it. Doesn't make you right. Just makes you strange and bitchy for the sake of picking a fight.

I never brought this up. I'm just having to defend myself talking about football on an football forum.

I might start a thread "Goals scored within a Norwich match day game". Then you can't talk about goals on the "Match day thread!"! Can you imagine!!? :steam:

This is how pathetic this forum has become.

I just wanted to post about football. Everybody's trying so hard not to be negative about the club, some sad acts need to find other stupid things to pick fights about. Pathetic.

That doesn't matter, and isn't the reason they are trying to start fights.
