I really agree with this statement - "The bulk of the squad will be made of what I think of as the new Norwich. Young players such as Godfrey, Matthews, Murphy, Lewis, Phillips, and Cantwell, combined with the recently arrived contingent such as Zimmermann, Trybull, Stiepermann, Vrancic, Husband and Raggett who are paid a far more modest and affordable wage than their predecessors" and I'm hoping that in a few months Josh can learn t be a decent player again.

This "is it a dive, is it a pen, it's contact" is doing my head.

The pundits have said "it's a clear pen." "there is contact, why shouldn't he go down to win his side a pen" They then said "he's not going to shoot or score from the angle he's tapped the ball to, so why not go down if you can win a pen!?" .....WHAT!? So, you mean: why shouldn't he dive if he can get a pen!? Idiots.

It doesn't matter if there is contact! That wasn't a pen! The rules for diving is if you have done something to imply something has happened that hasn't. There is no way brushing against the defenders knee would have toppled him. He left his leg so it would get brushed then he dived coz he wasn't getting to the ball.

If we are doing "if there's contact, then it's a pen", then don't ban the lower league players who leave a trailing leg to get touched. It's the same thing. All this retrospective action has made this rule a sham. It's back to "if it's a top 6 side, it's a pen. If it's a lower league side it's a ban"

Bloody hell!

1) I thought the transactions between these 2 were dead after the history.
2) That's an insane fee. He is a class CB, but Jesus.... that is so much money for a guy who hasn't played well since the first transfer attempt happened in the summer. I don't know if hes had a good game this season...

Edit- They need a CB like him. If they can make the finances work. I think this is a class buy. I think he fits Klopps plans perfectly. He seems a passionate player. That fee for him though.....that is insane!
 
So Messi is worth £300M but Van Djik is not worth £75M in your opinion? Have you not noticed the vulgar amount of money floating around the game, a player is worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for him, your valuation means nothing

Van Djik is class and will play for a better club than Liverpool in the future.

.....I’ve never said Messi is worth anything. Let alone “300M”. I’d say he’s not worth that. No human football player ever would be.
