Well, amidst all the current NCFC doom and gloom, an article to brighten your proverbial cockles.
I'm not sure about the use of the 'harshly' word, in relation to Norwich - the journo clearly hadn't seen many of our games with Hughton in charge <yikes> but a fine article - I wish him and the seagulls every success <ok>

What a load of old gash. He may get Brighton promoted this season but before the clown of an author starts touting him for England, perhaps we should see if his limitations do not get Brighton relegated in double quick time. Hughton has plenty still to prove at PL level and as Cromer says he sure as **** wasn't treated harshly at CR, should have been sacked months b4 he was.

Bah!

100% agree. <applause>

Well he did get things thrown at him, guess that was a bit harsh. I actually still rate him as a manager, he did well at Newcastle, Birmingham and had a good first season with us, just didn't work out in the long run which seems like a common occurrence with us.

I think he's a very good, solid Championship Manager. Promotion campaign manager. Above that, the jury is still out.

I think the football by that stage of his reign was very harsh on all the fans! I think he is a competent championship manager who can add a basic level of organisation. No where near enough imagination to have a side do more than try to survive at PL level.
I agree he has done well everywhere but at City but he was like a death by a thousand cuts.
I'm no more pleased for him doing well now than I would be for Roeder, they both had negative effects on our club in the long term. Roeder wasn't as nice but who cares? They both resided in the useless ****er class whilst at city.

Bah!

I wouldn't put him in the same category as Roeder and I still stand by what I said and don't think Hughton was as bad as people say he was. I'll still remember the good run of games we had in the PL and beating the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Man City under him.

I see 1p5wich take the lead against Bristol city. Elsewhere - Newcastle 1 Florist 1 and 0-0 Reading V Fulham.

No, I agree with you , he wasn´t, in the same way as Lambert wasn´t as good as people said he was.

It's now 1-1 at Portman Road, Newcastle lead 2-1 (Gayle scored his 18th for the season DD) and the game at Reading has been abandoned much to everyone's disgust.
Edit - now 3-1 to Newcastle as gayle gets his 19th goal of the season!!!!! <yikes>
And 1p5wich take the lead.

Both not good enough for their Championship clubs, so Swansea want them for a near impossible Premiership survival!

Long term. Rowett would be a decent shout, but not sure he'd keep them up.

I would like to know why Ryan Giggs gets mentioned nearly every time a vacancy arises. His CV has little offer in terms on managerial ability with the exception of a small handful of games as manager for Man Utd (sadly giving us a spanking in that time - but then anyone in the PL could have done the same, and did all too often).
