There wasn't an even playing field before the Premier League was formed. Was there even one in the years of the maximum wage? I don't think so.
Just took a look on Hull City match day thread for Friday game. Really shocked at the comments. Are we really that disliked?
I think it's something about the northeast. Boro fans hate us even more, but that may be about beating them at Wembley.
This could go one of 2 ways, players could’ve down about him leaving or they are going to raise their levels even further above ours at the weekend
Jurgen Klopp has announced he is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season; the 56-year-old informed the club's ownership of his decision to stand down, having taken charge at Liverpool in 2015; Klopp has won six trophies with the Reds, including the Premier League and Champions League
The BBC web site today features two interesting, well-written articles, one about Sunday's crunch match in Italy between Inter and Juventus, the other about the astonishing nursery of football talent that is Paris (the city of, not PSG). Here are the links for anyone interested: Inter and Juve: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68215228 Paris: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68180753
Not sure if anyone else has spotted, but wanted to flag that Cantwell has recently hit a rich vein of form and that has helped Rangers claw themselves back into contention. I am pleased for him, because I must admit his early form at Rangers suggested his career might be in a death spiral and it would be such a shame to see his talent go to waste.
I think it's more about Todd finding his level in the SPL. The same could be true of Adam Idah. Celtic and Rangers have more money than the rest of the league combined and the gap grows with Champions League profits every season. Every year it's just a question of which of them will win the title.
It's tough mentally at his age being in a relegation scrap & clearly he had ambitions of being a Premier League player like Buendia & dug his own grave . His loan to Bournemouth wasn't great & got the boot . In Scotland the level is not great but he's playing European football & scored 5 with 3 assists in 20 with a title challenge. Good luck to him , Dowell is not having a great time there
Idah is tipped to start against Hibs tonight, Wagner was discretely scathing by saying he only wants players that want to be here & he was adamant about leaving on loan . So hopefully he bags tons of goals & they take the option to buy him for £6m . Not sure that covers what we spent on developing him but with 4 years left someone will have to stump up a fee in the summer . Hopefully our Dutch wonderkid will do well & we can permanently replace Idah with someone that wants to play for us & succeed. Van Hooijdonk has certainly lifted the fans & brought healthy competition to the squad with Barnes & Sargent. Abu coming through the academy & Kamara having a decent loan at Portsmouth & looking to progress towards the first team also. The Chilean goalkeeper is one for the future as back up to Gunny & the Portuguese left back another one tipped to push for the first team squad .
I thought I read we wanted £6m but this article says £3m if they want him permanently Could be bullshit https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/norwich-city-set-adam-idah-asking-price-amid-celtic-loan-switch/
