I see that Pullis has been sacked after just 45 days, and one win in ten games. Who will they get next. All the usual suspects are currently employed I believe. Is Steve Coppell still active? Ha ha ha. <laugh>

About time too.
MBE awarded to former Tottenham and Chelsea striker Jimmy Greaves and ex-Wolves midfielder Ron Flowers, both World Cup winners with England in 1966.

Only 54 yrs too late.

Fenerbahce begging fans to donate to help pay Ozils wages is a pretty gross thing to read. Id have thought thats a textbook example of living beyond your means.

Imagine if we'd been asked to chip in to cover Naismiths wages eh?

Chelsea have sacked manager Frank Lampard after 18 months in charge, with former Paris St-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel expected to replace him.
Lampard, 42, leaves with the club ninth in the Premier League after last week's defeat at Leicester City, having won once in their past five league matches.
His final game was Sunday's 3-1 FA Cup fourth-round win against Luton.
Lampard was appointed on a three-year contract when he replaced Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge in July 2019.
The former Chelsea midfielder guided them to fourth place and the FA Cup final in his first season in charge, and a 3-1 win against Leeds at the start of December put the club top of the Premier League.

Surprised by this, but Abramovich has no loyalty to anyone.
Proves once again that very few world class players make good managers.

The surprise isn't that Lampard has gone, but that Tuchel has apparently agreed to replace him. Brilliant if true.

Tuchel and Farke worked together, wonder if we can use that connection to our advantage when we look for loan signings this summer.

Just seen an article where Troy Deeney is warning Brentford, Swans and us that Watford have won three in a row for the first time this season and are now on a roll. He has now scored six, yes six, goals this season. Woweee. But.....five have been penaltys.

3 in a row, wow!

5 weeks ago they were 7 points behind us, just as they are now.

Troy Deeney and Pedro have both scored 6 goals, so he isn't even Watford's top score from open play. Both Pukki (11) & Buendia (7) have scored more goals than Deeney.

Deeney is an empty vessel and should let his football do the talking rather than his mouth, for me he epitomises all that is wrong with Watford.

Thomas Tuchel has been appointed as the new head coach of Chelsea.
The German was confirmed on Tuesday as the successor to Frank Lampard, who was sacked on Monday. The club said Tuchel had signed an 18-month contract "with the possibility of an extension".

Only if he wins something

That's a bit more of a realistic contract for a manager these days. I scratch my head when I see these 5 yr deals for people like Lambert. I wonder what the average duration of a top 2 tier manager is these days? Watford have probably brought the average down considerably.

On checking our fixture list I see we have 7 games in Feb, of which 5 are away. This seems a very strange imbalance to the fixture list. This means that in the remaining 13 games after that we have 8 at home. Looks like February could be a massively important month for us.
