Excellent interview with ‘Neeyull’ from today’s MFW - ‘One of those is to get a younger player senior football and experience or get players a career who may not be good enough for us. I go through every stage of that, from finding them the clubs, negotiating the contracts and finances with clubs to then monitoring the players as closely as we possibly can. We watch the players training, speak to the manager, coaches and players, watching the games. ‘Every player that goes out on loan is monitored just as much, if not more, than when they are here. That sounds crazy, but we take the sports science data as well as talking to the players more than when they are here, arguably.
We’ve got a mentality and an environment at the club now, where previously players would think going out on loan meant it was them out of the door. It’s almost flipped now to the point where the success stories we’ve had like the Murphy twins, James Maddison, Ben Godfrey and Todd Cantwell, players now see those and think it’s a great opportunity to get into our first team.
‘You either go straight into the team like Max [Aarons] and Jamal [Lewis] have done or you go out on loan and into the team. Players now know there is a reason for this.

Those at the top of the tree at clubs need to believe in certain things. Stuart and Daniel are believers in players going out on loan. The sooner you get players exposure to senior football the better.

Edit - And Out of that team that won the FA Youth Cup, only two haven’t gone on to have professional careers. At varying levels, of course, some are in the Premier League and others are in the Football League.
I wonder how many of the Chelsea team are now playing professional football??
Chelsea had players that they’d spent millions on and that were on fortunes in wages. Our lot were on £150 each! <laugh>

Why would anyone in a half secure job risk going to West Brom having seen how Darren Moore was so unceremoniously shat on from a great height last weekend - despite being a comfortable fourth in the table? <doh>

More money, even more money if he gets sacked. Bigger club and bigger job with higher profile.

Bah!

These evening games really piss me off.
I can't make evening games,so another one missed.
I really feel I am being penalised by Sky for being a season ticket holder supporting Norwich.
I have only chance to see 2 more games at home this season.
And I only pay £850 to sit in City stand.
Really,really pissed off

I can understand why.

Don't City do buy back to give you the opportunity to sell your matchday ticket?

They do Dave, but never really considered this.
I don't think you get a lot, maybe a tenner if they manage to sell it.
I give mine away if I can.
Perhaps I am being a bit selfish, but Sky dictates all

I'm pretty sure it is £10 credit towards your next season ticket, so not really worth it. I know several people who sure near me can't make evening games either. :steam:

So if you don't renew, you get nothing.
Not worth it.Rather give it away.

Getting on for half the home games are on other than a Saturday. One of the main reasons I don't buy a season ticket.

For those, like me, who find other days difficult, suddenly a season ticket doesn't seem such good value.
