Training Ground Guru@ground_guru Good point made here by @ManCity analyst @RichardBredice - we're allowing coaches in the Premier League to watch replays on the bench, but we're not allowing refs to use replays with VAR. Isn't that a recipe for "madness and controversy"?
Puel the first manager to get his P45?? https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/thierry-henry-frame-replace-claude-13067990
It would be very surprising indeed in Henry did not know rather a lot about JM. Not sure how you come to hold that conclusion Dave, most top clubs were interested in signing him, went for record fee eventually and all football pundits/coaches/managers would have been tracking him.
I meant Henry in particular ,mostly what he knows about is how to cheat against Ireland. meandgandyagainstthefrogs
Curious stat, based on xG and xGA (Expected goals for and against, based on how often goals are scored from where shots are taken) we'd currently be top of the league. On a small sample size, suggests we're putting away fewer shots than we should be, and conceding goals we really shouldn't be.
So following Celtic's defeat by Hearts last Saturday, they will now miss out on the £Ms on offer had they made the 'gravy train' that is the group stages of the Champions League. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45190227
JM once again showing his maturity, I hope he climbs to the very top! http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...ester-city-switch-and-england-dream-1-5655038
And EVEN a certain Mr Shearer is getting on the JM bandwaggon - For some players a big transfer fee can bring added pressure to life at a new club, but Alan Shearer says James Maddison should use it a platform to shine. Leicester City signed the talented 21-year-old from Norwich City in the summer and, ahead of Maddison's home debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, Shearer says the midfielder should take the expectation from his price tag as a compliment. "I always looked at the point that if someone is prepared to pay that amount of money for you then that should in itself give you confidence and belief that you belong on the big stage," says Shearer, who himself became the most expensive player in the world when he joined Newcastle United in 1996. "It’s a huge fee for him. If he’s not fazed by that, if he can take that in the right way and have the confidence to go out and believe he has the ability to fulfil that potential, then he’s a goalscoring midfielder and he should be a good addition to that Leicester squad.”
I'm not sure that having Shearers support is exactly a ringing endorsement. Not the best pundit around.
Given that Madders was MotM in a recent game, I'd be surprised if any manager coming in hadn't heard of him.
