Adios Alex Tettey? http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/alex-tettey-confirms-new-canaries-contract-offer-1-5425181
All ye of little faith! Michael Bailey DF confirms Matt Jarvis will be back in proper training next week. Just 5 days out with his groin tweak. Farke says it normal after so long out and upping the load. #ncfc
Posted about that on the match day thread the other day. He's going to be on high wages, his legs look gone at times. Injury prone. I'm not too worried if we leaves. More chance that finally Godfrey or Thompson could get a chance. Plus they are going to bring in more German non-league players on lower wages. So, it might be time for Tetty to move on. Plus, if he doesn't want to be here, then he's no good for us.
James Maddison speaks a lot of sense. He's in no hurry to leave NCFC. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43344146
I'd imagine once his agent negotiates £50k or 60k a week in the summer, JM may well reconsider those words. Obviously, I hope that doesn't happen but I feel it in my bones.
It must be a huge temptation but he does appear to have his feet firmly on the ground, the way he talks about some who moved too early. I'm cautiously optimistic!
Love playing for us, but not enough to take a pay cut But I like Tettey, has done well for us and shame to see him go.
Yea, I did. I also posted what Bailey was told after the game. That he had been offered a contract but he, and his representatives didn't sound like they saw their future here. I'm sure he does love the club, but he takes what we can afford, or he leaves. If he loves playing here, then accept that he has to be on bottom half Championship wages. If we can't afford to buy Championship quality players we need, like a striker, then we can't be paying him whatever he wants. He's often injured, ageing, and suspended regularly. It's just where the club is now. Accept the pennies in wages, or leave. Under this regime. Would be sad to see him go, but I think most of the remaining club legends will be gone by the start of next season.
John Motson's last ever full match commentary when Watford play Arsenal at 1.30. The famous shhepskin coat is being retired, just as Henry Blofeld's yellow / red / green trousers were after the final test match of last summer. Happy retirement Motty, and thanks for years of superb coverage
Interesting and hard hitting views on MFW today, including this on the academy bond issue. http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...p-and-social-media-can-go-where-the-sun-dont/
Was it Rosborg he has been linked with? I very much doubt that they will pay as much as we are offering.
